Ben Liebrand

The legend that is Ben Liebrand!
Ben was the first DJ to have a NON-STOP mix show called "In The Mix" which ran late at night on Radio Veronica.
This show ran from 1983 to 1985 and was later followed by a weekly minimix on a prime time spot on Radio Veronica.
These Non-Stop Mixes and minimixes set the standard for many to follow, and introduced the term "thuismixer" meaning "Home-mixer" in the music business. Many of these minimixes are now becoming available on The Ben Liebrand Collectors Editions.

Ben was the pioneer in this field of mixing and remixing for the dance floor and experimented with all forms of signal processing including pitch-transpose to match the song key back in 1983, filtered tracks back in 1985,reed relais triggered samples in 1986. That was also the year Ben started to make remixes in a tempo other than the original songs tempo. This first mix took Freeze's IOU from 120BPM down to a 107BPM swing feel mix.
Ben is also one of the very few people in the music business who does his own programming, arranging, keyboards, engineering, mixing and mastering.
1983 was the year when Ben made his first GRANDMIX for radio Veronica which set the standard for all yearmixes to follow. Since 2000, the anual grandmix has returned and is now featured on Slam FM and is also available on CD.
You can follow Ben via his website, Facebook, Twitter & Myspace.

Paul Dakeyne

“You’ll go on stage thinking you’re Oakenfold or Dakeyne” – Chris Moyles, BBC Radio 1 (2005)

Once described by legendary DJ, Jazzy 'M', as "Dakeyne, the studio master!", this British born DJ/Producer/Remixer has surely contributed to the true history of dance music and record production in a dedicated career spanning two decades. Paul’s ability to programme cutting edge tunes to achieve crowd pleasing mayhem has attained him the respect of his peers, the music industry and the thousands of clubber’s worldwide that have rocked to his DJ sets! An almost uncountable collection of remixes and original music have poured forth from Paul’s studio, for classic artists such as James Brown, Prince, Soft Cell, New Order, Donna Summer, Madonna, Talking Heads, Afrika Bambaatta, Yazoo, Marshall Jefferson, Duran Duran, Sparks, Erasure, Yello, Vanilla Ice, Pulp, Queen, Grace Jones & Tears for Fears, the list is literally endless! (his recent non-commissioned remix of Flo Rida's "Low' recently logged up over 36,000 plays on YouTube).
Paul is no stranger to chart success in his own right, scoring his biggest selling production (beating Oasis out of the top ten in the process!), Tinman’s “18 Strings”, which fused rock guitar with storming house beats, spawning a string of imitators in it’s wake.
His live DJ'ing & mixing ability is world renowned, appreciation shown by his invitation to take the DJ residency for U2’s (Dublin based) Kitchen club (‘93/’94), and Kraftwerk for an ‘after party’ session during their 2004 Baltic tour. Between ’96 & 2002, Paul travelled the globe as a Ministry of Sound tour resident, exciting and stimulating his varied audiences along the way. He has DJ’d in vast arena’s to 10,000 clubbers, and then to an intimate crowd of 200, throwing the same passion and enthusiasm for his art equally to both!
You can contact Paul via his website, Facebook, Twitter, SoundcloudMyspace.

John 'Razor' Rushford

Logo design by Nic Sawyers

Producing amazing mixes is what John enjoys most and it all started way back in the early 80s.
Having taught himself all the aspects of mixing/editing as well as a period as a mobile DJ with Julian "Slipmat" G they both created mixes, some of which were sent to the late great James Hamilton of the then Record Mirror, for which they got positive reviews.
Most of the mixes they produced then were for the mobile disco although a few white label promo's were released.
John's main input then was the editing aspect of the mixes which he enjoyed most.
Today John still creates mixes and has also joined 'forces' with myself  to create the mix team Mixforce.
You can listen to his JAR Mix productions via Soundcloud.
